I can’t believe its already november! sorry i haven’t updated in a few weeks. i’ve just been lazy now since my crazy busy life is kinda slowing down. Cross country is officially over for us. No one from our school made it to state, which is depressing. I’m just glad that season is over though, because that is one less thing off my shoulders. I’m still worrying about college stuff. I really want to go to a private university, but I don’t want to take the million theology classes. I am not a religious person at all and it would seem very out of place for me to learn about a different religion ya kno? I dunno maybe i’m weird like that. Well i get like a week or two off and then I have to start back up for winter training for track.

Tomorrow I get out of school 4th hour to go to a lunch thingy! I got selected by some optimist club/organization to attend. My counsler said it was a pretty big honor since they only pick 2 people from each school. I was excited because I never get any awards or anything. She called me in today and asked what she should say about me and asked what things I were involved in. I felt stupid because I’m not involved in that much stuff. Like I don’t do community service everyday of my life and what not. Which is why i found it surprising I was chosen. so that should be coool. But we don’t even miss that much of school, we come back for our last hour. boo. But that is good because I have physics and don’t want to miss anything!

I need to go read for american novel, so I will write soon!

I am confused. Private Universities are not religious. They are most likely “non-traditional” and very expensive. Please correct me if I misunderstood you.

    Congratulations on getting picked ^_^

  2. What do you mean by “non-traditional”? haha im sorry im stupid =p

All of the private schools in my state are “religious”. What I mean by that is that they have a religious affilliation. For example: Loyola University Chicago is a Jesuit Catholic university. That doesn’t mean that you can’t go there, anyone can go to a religious affiliated school if they want to. However, these private universities incorporate faith type of learning into the curriculum and require you to take extra classes about that certain religion the college is affiliated with. You might have a priest or brother teaching you, etc. Their mission and visions are much different than a traditional public university.

Of course there are many “private” colleges that do not have religious affiliations. However, I have not heard of any in my state. I think those are more on the east and west coast, such as USC and Standford.

    I hope I cleared that up :)

  3. I’m not a religious person, so I’m very glad religion has nothing to do with school around here. There’s private religious schools here in sweden, but there are a minority. Guess we’re generally not religios people. I know I’m not.
It’s always flattering when you get chose by other for important thing. I hope it goes well for you =)
